Terri Kern received her Master of Fine Arts Degree from Ohio University in 1991. In 1995, she left a teaching position at Morehead State University to pursue a career as a studio artist. Since that time, Terri has exhibited nationally and internationally in Germany, France, Japan, China and Cuba. Her work has been featured in Cincinnati Magazine, Clay Times, Ceramics Monthly, Ceramic Arts Daily and The Journal of The American Art Pottery Association.
She has received four Individual Artist Grants, been nominated twice for a United States Artist Fellowship and has been recognized with more than thirty-five awards for excellence in the field of ceramics. Her work is included in Museum, Corporate, International and Private Collections.
I have a new group of classes open for registration.
I'm excited to share my love of clay with you this coming Final Friday (July 29). In March of 2023, Cincinnati is hosting NCECA (National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts). In honor of that, we will be creating a city-wide art installation made out of clay. If you'd like to make a piece to be included in the installation, please visit me in studio 511.
