When I was a child I found a very interesting box among my Mothers things. Besides having interesting and unique designs on the outside, it contained about 8 tubes of old oil paint. They were all different colors and twisted and squeezed into odd shapes. Since that point I had always wanted to paint or at least try. Life flew by quickly and it just didn't seem to happen. When my husband died at age 45, I took stock in my life. I signed up for classes and have not stopped since. Life is short, do what you want now.
I have a Bachelors Degree in Interior Design from Miami University. I studied art and alot about color. For some reason it has always come naturally for me to know how to mix colors to achieve the result that I want. I love mixing and creating colors! Painting makes me happy and I like to convey happy or some kind of feelings in my paintings. If they make someone else happy or pleased in some way, that is the icing on the cake. If someone wants to own one, then that is the cherry!
