I grew up knowing that I was named after a famed seamstress in the Bible, so I always felt the urge to follow in her footsteps. Unfortunately, I just do not enjoy using a sewing machine (so I leave most of the sewing to my daughter, who can work magic with it). I do enjoy hand stitching aprons and lap quilts, but over the years I have also learned to cross stitch, embroider, candlewick, chicken-scratch, and even to "paint with beads" and bead on wire. I have spent most of my life embellishing my world in that way. I believe an artist breathes life in to mundane items and creates a heartbeat that others can feel when they gaze upon the finished project. My creations are small, but I always strive to bring out that vibrant hum of life in each piece. I do crafting for the sheer joy and peace it brings me, and I hope that you will feel that joy and peace when you take home something from my shop.
