I am a native of New England who has called Middletown, Ohio home for over 20 years. It's hard to remember a time that I wasn't creating.  Crafting was a great way to pass the time indoors during the long New England winters. The types of crafts I love has changed through the years, but I'm still happiest when I'm creating.

For many years, my crafts were given as gifts to loved ones. Once everyone had multiple blankets from me, I knew it was time to do something else. I started Primeau's Purls as a hobby in 2012, transitioning it to my business in 2016.

Are you wondering about the name Primeau's Purls? With a last name like Primeau, couldn't I have chosen an easier business name to spell? Pearls are my birthstone and as such, I have always loved them. Purl is a stitch in knitting. I spelled it like the knit stitch, but I hope you will think of my pieces as treasures.

I am excited to join the Pendleton Art Center in Middletown.  While I've only been here a short time, it has been a wonderful experience to be welcomed into a creative community.  In my studio you'll find a variety of products to give as gifts or to purchase for your own enjoyment.  Currently I work with yarn, fleece, and cotton fabrics.  Scarves, blankets, shawls, pillows, and bookmarks are some of the items available.  I am always finding new things to make. Be sure to visit me in the lower level, Studio LL2 to see what I'm working on.  Look for the unicorns! If the door is open, please come in.  Looking for something that's not in the studio? When I'm not crafting, you may find me participating in some of my other hobbies such as writing, reading, or working on genealogy. Or you might find me screaming at the TV as my favorite sports team plays. You'll always find at least one of my two beagles close to me.
