Vendor Biography

Growing up as a descendant of Covington’s own Frank Duveneck family, you could say that art is in my blood. He’s rather famous, and hearing the tales my grandmother told about seeing him in the saloons in Covington and later reading about all followers who came after, made an impression on me as a young girl. My love of art came from the many years studying under Mrs. Weaver, a beloved art and art history teacher at Beechwood School in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky. I learned to love history, world cultures, geography and nature through art.

I am the only living relative of Frank Duveneck to reside in his hometown of Covington, Kentucky.

My artwork and photography are expressions of my passion for nature, flowers, people, memorable places, light and clouds. I am a contemporary artist, working with watercolors, pen and ink and acrylics on canvas. I generally paint from my own photographs and sketches and I am inspired by the works of Georgia O’Keeffe, Frida Kahlo, Vincent VanGogh, Mary Cassatt, Andrew Wyeth, Marc Chagall, Paul Gauguin, Charley Harper, and of course Frank Duveneck.

Every last Friday of the month, you can visit me at the historic Pendleton Art Center from 6-10 p.m. at 1310 Pendleton Street, Cincinnati Ohio. Join us for wine, cheese and art in studio 802A.
