Vendor Biography
Carol Abbott was a frequent guest at Pendleton Final Fridays before realizing her dream of becoming a resident artist in 2006. She has painted in studio 507 on the Fifth Floor since then in acrylics, oils, watercolor, and multi-media in sizes as small as 5” x 7” up to as large as 48” x 60.”
Her Happy Cincinnati series features familiar landmarks in Southwest Ohio and she also paints Happy Place Portraits of landscapes and architecture around the world. Usually inspired by dramatic light effects on buildings, Carol likes exploring the boundaries between pure abstraction and recognizable subject matter. Having earned her degree in Fine Arts from Indiana University in Bloomington, IN, color is what she clearly loves most when creating artwork.
