About the Artist

Artist Statement:

I paint contemporary landscapes in oil that lean toward abstraction. A continuing approach has been “What is the least you need?” Not in reference to austerity but in the mind’s perception.  Our mind fills in the blank and makes an emotional or representational connection.  I am very interested in translating an idea or concept into painting using layers of color and ragged edges for surface tension.
