About the Artist

Carole Winters is a printmaker, book artist, and graphic designer based in Northern Kentucky. She earned a B.A. in Printmaking from Morehead State University in Eastern Kentucky. She has exhibited in numerous group and solo shows while maintaining a parallel career as a graphic designer and art director. After working within various printing and publishing companies in a variety of roles, including publishing management, she transitioned to working as a self-employed graphic designer and visual artist. She served on the volunteer board of directors for Tiger Lily Press, a fine arts print studio in Cincinnati, for seven years including one year as Director. She currently serves on the board of directors of Manifest Creative Research Gallery and Drawing Center.

"My work is drawing-based including printmaking. Much of the work is inspired by personal history, documenting places and people I have known. Over the past few years, I've been focusing on abandoned architectural landmarks around Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. New work investigates the river's edge, and ghosts."
