I became a sculptor in 2001, after nearly 35 years as a professor of sociology at the University of Cincinnati. I studied stone and wood carving with Walter Driesbach and continue to work with Christopher Daniel on sculpting steel.
My abstract-representational style shows the strong influences of Cycladic and Inuit sculptors as well as more recent masters like Brancusi and Hepworth.
