A 25-year-old oil painter from Northwest Ohio, I grew up outside of Toledo in the city of Wauseon. I began painting while pursuing my undergraduate degree at Bowling Green State University, where I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts. During my time at Bowling Green, I had the opportunity to study at Santa Reparata International School of Art in Florence, Italy. Observing all the art and history that Europe had to offer inspired me to contemplate what the pursuit of an artistic career truly meant for me.
Two years ago I relocated to Cincinnati where I currently live and work. The city has afforded me some worthwhile opportunities, such as my current studio residence at the Pendleton Art Center, a facility which prides itself in being the largest group of artists under one roof. In 2020 I was published in the New American Painting Midwest issue No. 149 and in 2021 the Indian Hill Gallery in Cincinnati exhibited my work in a duo show along with Kentucky artist Micheal Agricola.
